Jerrie Ellison Beauford, founder of Who Invited You, brings a wealth of experience to her financial education venture. A graduate of Texas Tech University, Ms. Beauford relocated to Denver, Colorado, three decades ago, where she embarked on a distinguished career in finance. For 28 years, she served at Charles Schwab, a Fortune 500 company, as a Branch Consultant, Licensed Stock Broker, and Financial Planner for High-Net-Worth Clients.
Throughout her career, Ms. Beauford demonstrated a passion for financial literacy, volunteering to teach and develop curriculum content. This dedication to education aligns with her father’s legacy as a high school mathematics teacher who instilled in his students the importance of financial management. His motto, “If you think education is expensive, try ignorance,” and his belief that “numbers don’t lie” have profoundly influenced Ms. Beauford’s approach to financial education.
As the sole African American woman in her department for over half her career, Ms. Beauford faced unique challenges. These experiences fostered resilience and a deep understanding of the importance of diversity in the financial sector. Her journey has been marked by personal challenges, including divorce and the loss of her mother to cancer in November 2023. These events prompted a period of reflection and ultimately led to her decision to leave corporate America and pursue her vision of financial education for all.
Who Invited You was born from Ms. Beauford’s desire to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives and future generations. The company’s mission is to provide accessible financial education, empowering individuals from all backgrounds to achieve financial self-sufficiency. By sharing her extensive knowledge of the stock market and finance, Ms. Beauford aims to democratize access to wealth-building strategies, inviting everyone to “join the party and sit at the wealth table.”
Drawing from her personal and professional experiences, Ms. Beauford has developed a comprehensive approach to financial education. Who Invited You offers programs tailored to adults, young adults, and youth from kindergarten through 12th grade. These programs are designed to equip participants with the tools and knowledge necessary for long-term financial success, addressing a critical gap in traditional education systems.
We deliver these services through multiple channels, including on-site visits, local in-person sessions, virtual classes, and phone consultations.
